XLC SHOES MTB CB-M06

Talking about all the mountain bike route's at the blog, I think it is important to give you information about some shoes to ride your bicycle in the best conditions.

Is for that reason for what I'm going to show you the XLC shoes MTB CB-M06:

The characteristics of this shoes are:

• It are made of hide and PVC.
• Has three velcro fastener. 
• The sole is made of Nylon, with anti-slip profile.
• You can screwdriver the heels.
• The weight is 740 g. 

For all of this characteristics it shoes are a good option if you have to buy a new ones. It isn't the best on market but I think is a cheaper option with good results; it only cost 44,50 € on the Internet. 

As I said with my hicking jacket, my unique advice is not to buy it on white, because you must stay all the time cleaning it when you come back from the mountain.

AITANA; SELLA AND FINESTRAT (75KM)

Today I'm showing you a route longer than usual but it's worth enough. We are talking about circular route of Aitana.

In the hiking area my mate Ana talked about Aitana but in this case we're doing it on an mountain bike.

The route starts in Finestrat, on the usual point. I meet my friends near to Orcheta and we go to Aitana through Sella.

There are a lot of Apps which works similarly than Wikiloc, but we think that this one is the most useful. CIRCULAR IN THE SELLA'S ROCK

Today we will talk about a place that I really like. It is a small village where it lives around two or three hundred people.

As we have done in other routes, we will start in the car park. It is usually empty. So you should not have any problem to park your car there.

CARBON BICYCLES

Hi guys!!!

Nowadays there are more brands which offer carbon options in their bikes, and sometimes they're not much more expensive than the aluminum ones. Of course we're talking about high and middle range bicycles.

One of the main questions that bikers consider is... carbon or aluminum?... The answer is: it depends...

I have used both of them and I can say that in my case I've never had any extremely serious problem, but I'm in favour of carbon bicycles. One of the main reasons why I'm so is the resistance they offer.

In another post I'll try to make a review of my current bicycle, an Ibis Mojo HDR 27.5 but today I'm bringing you a text from Ibis website where they explain how they proced to make carbon fiber bicycles.

CLIMBING ON THE CABEÇÓ D'OR

Today I'm going to write about this mountain, but only in its climbing facet. Next day I'll show you the routes. 

I choose this mountain because is one of the best mountains near La Marina Baixa to go climbing and enjoy a day on the nature. The good thing is the Cabeçó D'Or has all levels, so if you're amateur you can go without problem, but you must know which ones are for more experienced people and which for those without a lot of experience.

CORREMOS JUNTOS RACE

Today I'm going to talk about a race in which I participated yesterday. This race is called "Corremos Juntos" and it is an initiative of the Inmaculada Jesuitas School of Alicante.

Two years ago at the same race

The registration for the race is different between adults and children:

• Adults: 10 € (registration + T-shirt)
• Children (-18 years): 3 € (registration + T-shirt) 

All earnings go to Nazaret Foundation, an association which helps children without resources and besides it tries to help children's families and its surroundings. 

As is logical, it isn't a competitive race, is just a race to help those children and the more people participate, the biggest profits will be. 

Next to the school it's the Serra Grossa, so the organization takes advantage of this situation to use it for the race. The first race (the adults' one) is 9 km length and I have to say that it is a little bit hard, unless for me because I don't use to run at the mountain. 

 

For the children there is organized a race which is 3 km length. They can take part with their parents, and the people who don't use to run can participate in this race without problem, because the aim isn't win anything, the final goal is to help Nazaret and, indirectly, their children. 

I encourage all our readers to participate in this type of races, because they are a good option to help the needy people doing physical activity.

ROUTE TO ALBIR'S LIGHTHOUSE

This time we are going to speak about an easy route. It is only 6,5 km.

We will start in the Albir's information point where we could get some map. It is close to the beach. So we could enjoy it when we finish our route (eating, bathing, playingvolleyball... etc.)

We will take the "quarry road" to the old quarry. However, we will not arrive to the end because we will turn to the left. Some minutes after we will arrive to the car park where the Natural Park's entry is. There the Albir's lighthouse road starts.

MAS DE LA CARRASCA; BUDAS AND OMBRÍA DE LOS CASTELLETS

Hi guys, let's continue discovering Marina Baixa...

In this route some friends have joined us to spend the morning doing what we like...

We've started on the main roundabout in Finestrat (we have started others routes on this place before). From here we've left to Castellets, a well-known place to connect other trails. Here it comes the new part of today's route.

It consists in a loop that takes us to visit "Mas de la Carrasca", an old hamlet where all the bikers stop to re-energize ourselves and to look at the incredible landscape

LINNIE. WOMEN'S SOFTSHELL JACKET

Today I'm going to write about my favourite jacket when I go hiking. I bought it four years ago, but it's still new. 

This Icepeak jacket is suitable for those days when you start walking early and it's a little bit cold. Later, when the sun rise, you can keep it in your bag easily, because it's flexible.

About its characteristics we must underline:

• Shaped and protective back hem.
• Tow-way front zipper.
• Articulated elbows.
• Adjustable hem and sleeve ends.
• Zippered pockets.

Material composition: 100% PES melange, mechanical strech + TPU flim + micro fleece

My unique advice is not to buy it in white, because when you go to the mountain you will stain your clothes and the more launds it has, the less result it gives.

You can find similar products on www.icepeak.fi because exactly this one is unlisted right now. But I'm sure other similar products will give the same result. 

The good thing is that now, when winter is ending, Icepeak have a lot of sales, so you find good products with low prices.
