Hi again biker!
Today I'm showing you a route longer than usual but it's worth enough. We are talking about circular route of Aitana.
In the hiking area my mate Ana talked about Aitana but in this case we're doing it on an mountain bike.
The route starts in Finestrat, on the usual point. I meet my friends near to Orcheta and we go to Aitana through Sella.

There is a long way by asphalt until Aitana's military base.

Here we can rest and get ready for the trails, which is one of the most beautiful part of the route.
We start the trails and the landscape is magic, Aitana is the Alicante's roof.

Don´t forget to bring some extra tubes, the stones on the trail are sharp and you may need them.

After this mishap we continue until "Font del Arbre", now under maintenance work, but you can collect some water in "Font del Anouer".

We continue cycling through spectacular trails where we can stop to admire a beautiful walnut and take some pictures...

The next source is "Font de la Forata", very beautiful in winter when it's frozen. A good place to admire the Alicante's roof.

We are close to "Font del Anouer". Here we can drink somo fresh water and talk and rest with many hikers and other bikers who are visiting the area.

After this source we cross a lunar landscape (big collapsed stones) and we go to one of the hardest climbs in this area: "Paso del Contador". You can see some pictures of the landscape below.

Right before to start the Contador's climb there is a small source, hidden between brushwoods.

Take the climb easy, it's long and hard. When you're on top you are next to Sella, a funny descent is waiting for you and then you come back to the asphalt where you climbed to Aitana.

Is a long route but is worth to do it once in a while, depending on the season it will change completely but always beautiful.
