MAS DEL OFICIAL; MAS DE LA CARRASCA; COVA MOSCARDA; PONOIG; COLLADO DEL LLAMP; COLL DE POUET

Hi you all...!

There're many possible routes at Puig Campana and surroundings. You can connect trails, pathes and adjust the route to your likes.

In this occasion I offer you a circular route which is formed by joining different trails and pathes.

We start at Mas del Oficial where you can park your car (there is enough space to park 5 o 6 cars).

Mas del Oficial

We're now in the south face of Puig Campana. We'll walk through a path which will lead us to the top of Castellets' road. While we walk we can watch Tajo Roldan, the characteristic shape of Puig Campana.

Once you're here we continue ascending to Mas de la Carrasca (we have already visited this place with mtb routes). The right place to recover yourself and enjoy the landscape.

From Mas de la Carrasca we'll cross a pass which seems a lunar landscape, plenty of loose rocks that takes us to Cova de la Moscarda (small cave).

You can stop here to eat and get ready to ascend Ponoig. This place is very visited by hikers and bikers.

Beginning path to Ponoig peak

This path has beautiful views from the entire Valle del Eco (maybe we'll talk about it in another post).

Ponoig peak is an spectacle even with fog. Watching from here the coast and the northeast of Puig Campana is a pleasure...

We come back through the same trail to the beginning of the ascend to get to Collado del Llamp, the place that appears on the header on this blog.

We'll go by Puig Campana's shelter following the path close to it to descend to our car.
