Today I will try to explain you briefly what does a "homologated path" means. It is basically a trail which has been approved by a regional or territorial federation. So we could say that it has been accepted and, in theory, safer because it is controllated periodically.

Here I let you a presentation that I have done where you will find more information about hiking signaling. It is very easy but it may help you to understand the signals in Spain and decide which trails you want to do.
